HEALTHCARE LEADERSHIP

QUALITY
management

Leadership interns will be tasked with monitoring a specific quality aspect. At the Seva Clinic, this may involve tracking metrics such as patient satisfaction, patient understanding of medications, and adherence to treatment plans. Within SEVA Leaders, quality monitoring may focus on evaluating the effectiveness of different training methods. By working with these metrics, interns play a crucial role in improving patient care and clinic operations while learning the importance of data-driven decision-making over relying solely on personal perception.

Authentic Leadership

In healthcare, decisions can have immediate and profound impacts on patients’ lives, which amplifies the pressure to always be right. The stakes are high, and mistakes can lead to severe consequences, making healthcare professionals more risk-averse and fearful of errors. This environment can foster a culture where the fear of being wrong overshadows opportunities for growth and learning. Leadership interns will learn how leveraging authentic and transformational leadership styles can create a culture of trust and unity, which is essential for success in healthcare settings.

FAILING FORWARD

Leadership interns will be in a constant state of growth. They will be encouraged to take on tasks with a high chance of failure, embracing the concept of "failing forward" to learn from mistakes and continuously improve. This approach helps them recognize the value and benefits of failing for the right reasons, ultimately fostering resilience and success.
